Experienced Veterinary Surgeon x2

We are seeking small animal Veterinary Surgeons with 3+ years of UK experience to join our thriving, independent practice. We are a popular community vets in north London, and due to growth since we opened in 2017 we are expanding and seeking a vets to join our friendly and professional team. We currently have three vets, and these roles will report to the Director Dr Andrew Monchar. The vacancies are across our established practice in Finchley, and our new practice in Alexandra Palace opening this year. If you would flourish in a busy practice providing excellent care to clients and their pets, this is an excellent opportunity. There is a varied caseload and you will undertake a mix of consultations and routine surgery, and have case continuity. You will be comfortable with some sole-charge and interest in exotics is advantageous. For an experienced candidate there could be a chance to be part of the senior leadership team with the practice owners and contribute to business development, at an exciting time as we open a second branch locally. This is a full-time role 40 hours per week on shifts between 8:30am and 7pm, and our clinical team work Sundays 10am-2pm on a 1 in 3 rota. Veterinary Care Assistant

We are seeking a Veterinary Care Assistant who loves animals to join the team and be critical to the smooth running of Two By Two Veterinary Centre, in Finchley. A friendly and polite person, you will have experience in working in a veterinary setting or animal welfare or rescue centre and will have or be working towards a qualification in animal care. The role will involve caring for animals and supporting the veterinary team. The role will also involve some reception duties.

The role is full time, 40 hours on a shift pattern during opening hours which are Monday-Friday 8:30am-7pm, and 1 in 4 Sundays 10am-2pm. Part-time hours will be considered, please state your preferences in your application.

Animal Assistant, Finchley

We are seeking an Animal Assistant who loves animals to join the team and contribute to the smooth running of Two By Two Veterinary Centre, in Finchley, this summer 2024. A friendly and polite person, you will have experience in working in a veterinary setting or animal welfare or rescue centre. The role will involve caring for animals and supporting the veterinary team with animal care, and keeping the practice clean and tidy. You will have good communication skills and love animals.

The role is full time, 40 hours on a shift pattern during opening hours which are Monday-Friday 8:30am-7pm, for example 9am-5pm, or 11am-7pm.Part-time hours will be considered, please state your preferences in your application.

Core Duties

  • General care of animals (small animals and exotics), working patiently and compassionately • Providing a comfortable and stress-free inpatient environment by tending to the animals • Feeding inpatients • Kennel cleaning • Walking dogs • Assisting the veterinary and nursing team with prescriptions, making up surgical packs • Grooming • Cleaning and tidying the practice and maintaining high standards • Relay appropriate information to/from clients to veterinary surgeons/nurses and/or management • Under guidance you can expect to be handling patients for procedures and assisting with diagnostic tests • Setting up and clearing down a theatre for surgical procedures Taking out bins • Welcoming clients and weighing dogs • Understand and always adhere to Health & Safety protocols • Maintaining a professional appearance and being punctual and attending on each of your working days is expected.
