We have a practice policy of continued professional development in place to ensure that every team member keeps up-to-date with current thinking in practice, modern techniques and modalities. Dr Andrew Monchar, BSc(Hons) BVetMed OV(OCQ[V]-CA) MRCVS

Clinical Director

Andrew Monchar founded Two By Two Veterinary Centre in 2017. He is an experienced companion animal and exotics veterinary surgeon. He attained an intercalated Bachelor of Science with Honours degree in Veterinary Conservation Medicine in 2006 from the University of Liverpool and qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London in 2009. Having worked placements at Knowsley Safari Park, Stapely Grange RSPCA Wildlife Hospital and Chester Zoo as a veterinary student, a keen interest in exotic animals and conservation was fostered culminating in spending a few months volunteer working in the Arava Desert, Israel on a wildlife re-introduction project immediately after graduation. In the formative years of Andrew’s veterinary career, he worked at a broad variety of multi-vet first opinion companion animal practices and referral hospitals. He worked as a locum veterinary surgeon serving practices in London and its surround for four years seeing everything from (The) Corgis to Eagle Owls and monkeys. Two By Two Veterinary Centre was founded by Andrew to serve the needs of North London’s companion animal and exotic pet population. A proud husband and father, Andrew enjoys bird watching, innovative technology and gadgets, travelling to far-flung destinations and watching his beloved Everton F.C. in the English Premier League.

Dr Jordan Hodges, BSc, BVetMed, MRCVS

Veterinary Surgeon

Originally from the United States, Dr. Hodges graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2024, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to our small first-opinion practice. With a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and over a decade of experience in the veterinary industry, Dr. Hodges has developed a passion for providing compassionate, high-quality care to animals and their families. With a strong interest in anaesthesia and analgesia, chronic pain management, and surgery, Dr. Hodges is committed to advancing veterinary standards. Their research, including a pharmacokinetics study on a drug designed to improve anaesthetic recovery for vulnerable animals, reflects these passions and contributes to improving care for pets everywhere. Dr. Hodges has been in customer-facing roles since 2014, ensuring excellent communication with clients to help them feel empowered and informed about their pet’s health. As a member of both the British Veterinary Association (BVA) and the British Small Animal Veterinary Association (BSAVA), Dr. Hodges stays at the forefront of the latest veterinary practices. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hodges enjoys studying languages, experimenting with vegan cooking, and immersing in the world of computer gaming.

Dr. Christopher Hailes, BVetMed, MRCVS

Senior Veterinary Surgeon

Dr. Hailes is a Veterinary Surgeon with over fifteen years of experience in general practice. He graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, University of London and is an accomplished Clinical Director. Part of the senior leadership team, he also provides mentoring to recently qualified veterinary surgeons and to students. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hailes enjoys country pursuits, skiing and spending time with his family.

Tamara Feiner

Student Veterinary Nurse

Tamara is studying veterinary nursing at college and is a valued member of the clinical team at Two By Two Veterinary Centre. She has volunteered at stables, and owned pets including a bearded dragon.

Heather Saunders

Veterinary Nurse

Heather has over 20 years experience as a Veterinary Nurse, and has a special interest in animal behaviour.  She also runs a non-profit animal rescue organisation.

Kerrie Struminger

Registered Veterinary Nurse

Kerrie is a Registered Veterinary Nurse with over 20 years experience, and especially enjoys the medical side of veterinary nursing.

Alex Wentworth

Veterinary Care Assistant

Alex is an experienced Veterinary Care Assistant who cares for the hospital inpatients and the animals in our care, and provides support to the veterinary team.

Customer Care

Since February 2024, Carlota has been providing excellent service to clients of Two By Two Veterinary Centre. She has extensive experience in hospitality and customer service, is fluent in Spanish, Catalan and Italian and has studied accountancy. Carlota is a qualified first aider and was previously a volunteer ambulance rescuer. She loves looking after her two young cats.…

Business Manager

Saskya supports business operations in order to develop the pratice and is part of the senior leadership team. Her background spans marketing, digital, communications and events in high profile organisations.

Chantal Sheena, BSc Hons

Customer Care

Chantal is an experienced Veterinary Receptionist and is the first point of contact for our clients. She graduated with a degree in Equine Science with Therapy, has a diploma in horse management and practices as a certified equine sport massage therapist. A qualified riding school assistant, Chantal enjoys dressage in her spare time. Additionally, Chantal is a certified bookkeeper, and applies numerical accuracy and attention to detail to the practice.
